With debit card controls and the American Bank Personal Mobile Banking app, you can control how, when, and where your debit card is used – right from your phone. Tap your finger to disable your card, set transaction limits to help you stay on budget, define locations where your card can be used, enable push notification alerts, and more.
Debit card controls give you peace of mind
Protect your card from fraud
- Block all online purchases by disabling "eCommerce" transactions in Transaction Controls.
- Prevent in-store fraud by blocking purchases when your phone is not close by with Locations Control.
Monitor your money:
- Use Alert Preferences to get a notification whenever the card is used.
Log in to the app.
- In the “More” menu, select the “Card Controls” tab.
- Set the restrictions you want for each card.
- Return to the “More” menu; select the “Alerts” tab and then “Debit Card Alerts.”
- Set up the alerts you want to receive for each card.
- In your mobile device’s Settings menu, enable push notifications for the Personal Mobile Banking app.
