New Client Authentication Procedures

Effective January 3, 2022

Financial institutions continue to be the target of cyberattacks and fraud attempts. At American Bank, we take your data security seriously and work hard to protect your personal information. To stay ahead of fraudsters, we are reinforcing our procedures.

What is American Bank doing?

The bank’s client authentication procedures will be upgraded to fortify our ability to protect your confidential information. This will add an additional layer of security for you.

What will change?

When you call us to request a monetary transaction or make a change to your Personally Identifiable Information, we will ask you a few questions in order to confirm your identity. If you are unable to answer the questions, you will need to visit an American Bank branch to complete your request.

Will this happen with every call?

No. A password may be established for future inquires after successfully completing the initial verification process.

What do you need to do?

Nothing. No actions are required. The new procedures will automatically go into effect on January 3, 2022.
